Today, July 10, SER Catalunya organizes, at the CCCB, “Mundo Mejor”, a conference where the best experts in social responsibility of our country will be heard and they will share different experiences of success of different companies that have integrated CSR into their business strategy.

SER Catalunya, aware that any event generates a carbon footprint, makes the decision to assess its environmental impact on climate change. It does this by calculating the greenhouse gas emissions generated by the conference and compensating through a Clean CO2 portfolio project to reduce the emissions.

With all this, a collaboration agreement has been signed between SER Catalunya and Mariposas Hydroelectric Project, a hydroelectric power generation project developed in San Clemente district of Chile. The project reduces 21,000 tons of CO2 each year, increases job opportunities and boosts the local economy, with 250 jobs during the construction phase and 5 permanent jobs. The project also provides clean energy to Chile’s grid, among others benefits.

Finally, as a guarantee of the emissions compensation, SER Catalunya has obtained the accrediting certificate and the Clean CO2 seal, which certify “Mundo Mejor” as a neutral event in emissions.
