Codony Carpentry is once again emissions neutral

Codony Carpentry calculates and offsets the emissions generated by its activity since 2013, and has once again confirmed its commitment to climate change and offset its 2017 carbon footprint with Clean CO2.

The calculation has considered the main activities carried out by the organization during 2017, such as the energy consumption of the facilities and owned vehicles. The emissions were offset by the purchase of 9 carbon credits from the Andra Pradesh project located in India. The activity of the project installs Suzlon turbines for a total installed capacity of 4.2 MW, contributing to the reduction of GHG emissions with renewable resources (wind energy) for the generation of energy that would otherwise be generated in thermal power plants using fossil fuels. The project generates an annual average of 8,462 MWh of renewable energy, which allows a reduction of emissions of 8,122 tCO2e per year.

As a guarantee of the emissions offset, Codony Carpentry has obtained the certificate and seal ‘Clean CO2 Certified‘.
